Film Publicity Design

Before the audience watches the film, they meet its story.
Corporate Communication · Event Branding · Institutional
For NCDFI, the communication needed to represent more than an event.

Film publicity is about creating curiosity before people ever watch the film.
For Dhabkaaro, we explored a visual language that could capture the character, emotion and cultural character of the Gujarati film while giving the film a distinctive presence across publicity formats.
The campaign extended beyond a conventional film poster into promotional and event communication, including the film’s world premiere in Nairobi.

Task

Create a distinctive publicity identity for the Gujarati film Dhabkaaro and adapt it across promotional and event communication. Meaning A film has a story. Its publicity has to create the first impression. The challenge was to make the audience feel something about the film before they encountered the story itself.
